From Me to You-Thank You!

After all of the turbulence, heartaches, and adjustments we’ve had to make in 2020, we’ve finally made it to the end of the year. Thank God!

With so much that has happened, I’m sure there are life lessons you’ve learned. Lessons that helped to shift your thinking, understanding, and your decisions. Lessons that have helped to shape your focus, and your ideas about family, life, health, and your connection to a higher power.

As a result of the pandemic, one important lesson I’ve learned is to value time, family, and my life. They’re all so precious, and I’m not guaranteed to get tomorrow. So, it’s important to cherish, honor, and respect what I have today. Another lesson I’ve learned is to follow my heart and do what I love.

To be honest, I think so many people have learned the same lessons. This year, we were forced to re-evaluate who we are and the course of our lives. We were also forced to test our faith after so much tragedy and devastation.

Look at us now, we are still STANDING!

As you look at where you are right now and focus on your tomorrows:

  • What is it that you want your life to be in 2021?
  • What adjustments have you made to help prepare you for next year?
  • How will you use the lessons you’ve learned about yourself and life to be better, more focused, and stronger?

Thinking about these questions as I finish out my second year with the blog, I am so grateful for being blessed with such a powerful tool to inspire and empower others. I can’t help but to think about all the amazing women with amazing stories who’ve blessed others with their testimonies. I’m so thankful God chose me to give women from all walks of life a platform to share their stories. In addition, there were powerful women and women of prestige in all types of businesses who shared important information to help people in their lives.

For all of the connections and lessons shared, I’m extremely thankful to every last one of my guests. Each guest has been a blessing to my blog and has shared great information. So, I say publicly, to all of you who have contributed to my blog, from the bottom of my heart… Thank You!

There were many awesome and heartfelt stories shared. A few of the stories that stood out to me were: An Invisible Child: A True Story. Kelly’s story forced me to step into a 3-year old’s eyes and imagine what it might have been like to see her stepfather shoot her mother dead. She then went on to experience abuse, abandonment, and a host of other life-altering issues. This story was really moving. Another story that moved me was called, 5 Ways to Increase Your Self-Love. Wendy’s story was so inspiring and motivational. It shows how you don’t have to be defined by other people’s beliefs of you and if you believe in yourself and stay focused you can go on to achieve what you want in life. Break Free from the Cycle of Destructive Relationships was another article that stirred my heart. It talks about living in a cycle where every relationship is destructive and how you don’t have to stay on that destructive path. And then the story about a woman who had experienced any and every bad thing you could imagine and more… really shook my heart, mind, and spirit. With all she had been through, she survived. This story was really inspiring. The article is called, Through the Fire: The Kelley Porter Story.

Although, I only named a few, none of the other articles were any less important, meaningful, or touching. With that said, there were so many blog posts that have empowered, inspired, and educated women. For that, I am so honored and grateful to have been a platform for so many.

But as I look into the year 2021, I have come to a pivotal moment in my life. After evaluating my life and dreams, and after much prayer, I have come to the decision that this will be my last post. It’s not because I don’t love working with the blog, meeting fascinating women, or sharing such empowering information, but because it’s time to move on to my true heart’s desire to be an author. It is my intention to focus my writing towards telling stories in books. So, I want to thank everyone of you who have supported me by reading, sharing, liking, and commenting on my blog posts. It has meant the world to me.

As a matter of fact, I hope you will continue to follow me as I transition into my new calling as an author. I will be writing realistic and relatable stories about life and the circumstances people are faced with in their lives.

So, as I write my last words for the blog, I would like to send my love and appreciation for all you’ve been to me, and I look forward to engaging with you as I venture into my new author’s life.

I would love to hear in the comments below your thoughts about the blog, any posts that have impacted you, and your thoughts about my decision to follow my dream of being an author. Feel free to send me you email address at debbie3wv@gmail.com, if you would like to continue following me. In addition, so I can let you know when I start my new website, and for when my book is ready. Just so you know, my fiction book is about a man on top of the world who lose it all including his family, then his life spirals out of control and he fights to get it back. It’s a story of love, betrayal, struggle, and redemption.

For those who will continue to support me, thank you! And this is not bye, it’s just, see you later.

I wish every last one of you who reads this article best wishes, peace, and joy in 2021… Happy New Years and God Bless! Stay safe.

  1. I am so thankful to God and you for allowing me to be a part of this blog. I so enjoyed the many stories I’ve read, including my own. As I’m reading your final story I can’t stop the tears. Not because this is final but because God has taken you higher. I’m so elated for you. You have inspired me to be courageous and grab a hold of life and move with confidence and no apologies. I can’t wait to read your book. I know it will be a best seller. May God continue to take you beyond your imagination and bless all of your endeavors. I will be sending you my email because I most certainly do not want this to be “goodbye.” Best wishes always. I am a lifelong fan…..
